Martin,

I like the watercolors and I have been using them for over a decade now. They are a bit more forgiving than oils or enamels and they can be used on any surface. Ox Gall liquid makes the watercolors flow and act almost (but not exactly) like oils. Mistakes are easily cleaned up with water. They are also great if you want to do anything with oils over the watercolors because they won't react to the turpentine.
