Thanks for the link, Charles, those are good photos.
I think the Fujimi 1/76 kit is quite accurate in most of the details, actually. It's only a few bits and pieces that I've tried to improve, and it doesn't take much "skill-wise", really, just the patience to deal with the puny parts. :)
I haven't really had a good close look at the ESCI 1/72 kit, that's a few months in my future. And heaven only knows when I'll be playing with any of the 1/35th scale kits. But you're right, none of them are "modern" -- and the most modern one is a Russian Maquette kit! I've just bought one on eBay, but I'm not exactly expecting anything amazing. :)
I don't understand why Dragon are being so coy in bringing out Pz.IB variants. Their IB kit is quite good -- not as good as the Tristar IA kits, but plenty good enough. I would have thought Dragon PzJg.IB and sIG 33/IB kits would have come out or at least been announced by now!
You may be interested in Gas.oline 1/48 scale (resin) kits.
