Well going through my stash I can think of several possible contest themes. In no particular order of preference, or practicality:

Operation Barbarosa
Polish Campaign or perhaps Polish and French campaign or if you want to be really broad: WW II years of axis victory Sept '39 - Dec. '41.
Tin Cans: Armoured vehicles under let’s say 20 tons.
Behemoths: Vehicles over 57 tons (Bigger than a Tiger I)
Tin cans and behemoths. I think that would be an interesting study in contrast.
Tigers or to make it broader German cats.
Ardennes Offensive or to broaden thing up - Western Front 44 - 45
Self propelled artillery.
Post '45 Middle East.
Armoured reconnaissance vehicles.

There's a lot to choos from there I know.
