I was going to ask 'is anybody really going to go to those lengths to win?', but now that you mention it, it does explain some of the wierd competition winners found elsewhere. You could always slant it slightly to say everyone with something in the gallery has a vote. At least that way each vote could be linked to a known name. No need for extra admin', I think members could 'police' such an arangement- maybe by asking for a link to the 'my models' gallery page with each vote.
Possibly too convoluted, but it's a thought.
