I was thinking that currently a four month long contest is too limiting to those who aren't interesting in the subject: a bit boring having one at a time for so long. However, a shorter period of time is also limiting to modellers who wish to get something ready.
So, it occurred to me to combine the two schemes and have four ongoing contests with staggered start/end dates.
Currently we have:
Blitzkrieg: Sep.- Dec.
Tigers: Oct. - Jan.
??? Nov. - Feb.
??? Dec. - Mar.
So with this scheme there will always be four contests and there will be one starting and one ending each month. For a total of twelve per year.
I propose that the Nov. contest be 1-48th scale, this will replace the on-going monthly contests. And the Dec. one could be Shermans, since they are pretty popular right now and will balance the Tiger contest well.
Any further ideas?
