I have been a long time daily lurker on this site, posting coments or questions rarely. While I have finished a couple of gift and commission projects for other people, the last model I finished for myself was back in 2001. That's not to say I haven't started a couple models since then, I just haven't finished one.
Just this week I pulled my stack of Shermans from the closet, wondering if I could get motivated to start and finish one without becoming sidelined by life or waining interest. I feel like model building, which has been a 30+ year hobby interest for me, is at a breaking point in my life. I've considered pulling the plug on the whole thing, selling everything on eBay and putting the money into one of my other hobbies.
Then I saw this Sherman contest idea. So in the interest of finally being a contributor here and re-discovering the fun of finishing something, I'm committed to starting, and God willing, finishing a Sherman before the 1st of February.
