Formal Announcement: Most of us are probably burdened by unfinished projects that have been set aside due to a variety of reasons. The "Shelf Queens" contest is designed to encourage us to resurrect some of these dormant models and get them on our display shelves.

The entry period is June 1-30 and the contest ends on Dec 31, 2007.

General Guidelines

A) Eligiblitiy. The model or project needs to be one that hasn't been worked on for over a year -- still requiring some construction. No "ready to paint" models.

B) Entries must submitted by June 30: Participants need to post a photo (or preferably, a series of photos) by this date and provide a brief list of details added so far and details yet to be added. Please provide approximate last date of construction, if known. There will be a special "CONTEST FORUM" started on June 1. In your title, please mark "SQ" or "Shelf Queen" (e.g. "SQ: Tamiya Panther G with Bergepanther conversion")

C) By Dec 31, entrants need to post photos of their completed Shelf Queens or at bare minimum, the progress they've made to them.

Winning models will be judged 1) best overall model and 2) best overall effort (either with a single subject or a series of completed ones). There will likely be 1st and 2nd place prizes for both these judging categories.

Finally, don't get stuck on these guidelines. We just want to encourage and reward building and finishing incomplete kits -- if you have any questions, please contact me.

Good luck to all. Let's all enter, build, and encourage one another as we strive to finish our "Shelf Queens"!
