Here's my Ironside Marder I 7.5cm Pak 40 auf Lorraine that I got about seven years ago. I put a lot of time into it already and it's practically a complete scratchbuild besides the lower chassis.
1) replaced kit's awful Pak 40 with Tamiya one with ABER bits
2) replaced kit fighting compartment walls w/sheet styrene, including slats on air vents
3) detailed a roadwheel and cast copies to replace all six roadwheels
4) using excellent Fruilmodel sprocket and links
5) started to detail the interior with ammo tubes from DES and many fittings & radio from Tamiya Wespe
6) added rivets and bolts throughout and detailed driver's compartment
7) This is the first ABER super detailed gun barrel I used
What's still to be done:
1) I'm going to re arrange the radio and finish off the fighting compartment
2) I'm going to put a driver inside
3) I was scratchbulding a gun travel lock but knocked it out -- may need to redo this completely
4) I plan on finishing it as an FFI captured one |
