Subject:  SQ: Italeri Tiger PList thread.

This is the old Italeri Tiger P. I am attempting to finish it as one of the prototype vehicles sent off for tirals. Not the origional one that went head to head with the Henchel prototype, but one of the following ones. It will be on an Ironside flatcar. One issue is the flatcar, it should be one of the 3 axel SSYMS cars, but that kit is out of production and I have just been unable to find one so I'll just make do.

The Tiger was initially almost done before I decided to convert for this little set up some time ago. I used the JR berrel and have removed some of the side fixtures that would not have been installed yet. The gray stuff you see was a failed experiment to try using this thick paint they use to write on T-shirts. I thought I might be able to make weld beads, but it flattend out and was not sufficient. Now its hard to remove as its kind a rubbery. I will be using DML tracks, as the kit ones are pure junk. Some spare PE and scratched items, otherwise just the base kit. I have few refferences so this will not be accurate, but I'll enjoy looking at it in the display IF I ever finish it.

By the way, the Ironside flatcar kit is also not very good. Very basic molding, large pin marks in the most ovious places and ill fitting parts. But there isnt much choice in this area. We need Trumpeter or someone to come out with a good set of rolling stock!

Well, my feet are to the fire now... lets see what happens.
