| Subject: | SQ:Composite Hull Sherman | |

This is my competitive for the Shelf Queen contest. It’s a real wreck shelf queen.
10 years ago I built the Italeri No 253 M4 A2/3 Sherman kit. It was one of my first model kits. The result becomes very bad. So I banished it into a box.
A few years ago one of my friends eliminated his Italeri No 225 M4 A1 Sherman which was in the same poor condition like my Sherman. I decided that I will build a composite hull Sherman using the parts of those two kits.
Last summer I started the conversion with cutting down the first part of the A1 Sherman hull, and the back part of the A3 Sherman. I cut out the engine deck of the A3 hull, which will be replaced with a correct A1 engine deck. Of course I had to remove everything: paint, glue, parts from the surfaces. The rear engine deck is from Dragon. The last step was when I assembled the hull parts with the chassis. Since then I haven’t worked on the model.
I will use a lot of spare parts from my spare part box. Like the turret of the Italeri No 6389 U.S. Marines M4 Sherman, Academy bogies and wheels, Dragon separate track links…
