Gentlemen,
I have an idea for a contest and would like to see if there is any interest?
When a government needs a new military vehicle it develops a list of design criteria. Then requests bids from defense contractors.
My idea is that we develop a list of criteria, and each entrant plays the role of a Defense Contractor and builds a prototype.
Just to give you an idea of what I mean look at Charles King's recent addition to the gallery.

A project like this lets you take a break from the research side, concentrate on build & finish quality, and empty out the spares box a bit. |
