I dont know if this is kosher, but since Roy extended the deadline, and I had my Tiger I(P) finished I thought I would enter another.
Here we have the old Tamiya SU-85. This has been sitting on my shelf with the construction probably 95% done for YEARS. Starting about 4 days before Roy extended the deadline, but before this (rather Poor) picture was taken I have sanded and installed the barrel, the hatches and replaced the stowage hooks on the side. Previously I had cut out the grill and replaced it with mesh, although its a bit too fine so hard to see. The rest is pretty much out of the box. Over the years I lost the rubber band tracks (no big loss) so I am going to use a spare set of DML link to link tracks, which are quite nice. Anyway, with the exception of the tracks, its ready to paint now. Kind of a cheap last minute entry, but hey, its a good excuse to actually finish this thing. |
