Mike,

The Four Duce was the standard heavy mortar for the US Army from WWII unitl a few years ago...when it was replaced with the 120 mmm mortar.
It started it's Army life as a chemical mortar...in fact some of the tubes I saw while in active duty actually had chemical corp on the data plate.
In mechanized infantry unit's in West Germany during the Cold War it was found in the Combat Support Company (CSC), and was the Infantry battalion's heavy organic mortar.
Nice job...I have both Tamiya kits, the M113 version and the stand alone kit...some day I hope to build both..

Great work and take care

Bob Stodnick
