Hi Paul,

Looks great this kit!

Especially the inside of the cab is much improved compared with the Italerei offering. The lay out of the cab also facilitates converting it to a 'gutted' cab as often seen on FlaK carriers.

I wonder if the kit agrees with the Plus Models 4X4 conversion set, if so this kit would be the choice to build the later war 2cm FlaK truck. (The 37mm was not a standard fitting though, like the FlaK vierling much to heavy, over loading and destructive to the chassis when fired!)

Some comments on your review. The roof mounted triangle is not a convoy sign, it warns that a towed load is behind the truck. The wheel rims are the early six holed type, limiting the vehicle to an early war version, but I guess the 8 holed replacement wheels (with some alternative tire profiles?) are coming soon from the AM people.

All in all, I'm very happy with this kit and hope to have one soon.

Hope someone with the older Italerei offerings in the stash will try if the Italerei parts (engine block, different load beds, coal gass generator and Maultier running gear) can be used with this new Tamiya kit. That would widen the possibilities of this kit even more!

Kudos to Tamiya!

Cheers,
Alex
