Tamiya Chieftan Mk.5 done as a very early British Army Training Unit Suffield (BATUS) version, as stationed in Alberta, Canada, circa 1972-73.
Painted in Tamiya Acrylics, spot-washed with oils, and dry brushed with pastel chalks. Canvas gun cover was added from Milliput.
A good kit, but the Tamiya painting directions for BATUS are incorrect. For 99% of vehicles, it should be Dark green over Tan, rather than Dark Green over Green, as I've done here. Found out too late, but it is possible that the earliest vehicles were used for a while in their Euro-schemes.
