The Maritime Modelers' Meet 2001 was held on March 31st at the Fleet Club in Halifax, Nova Scotia Canada.
This year, the quality of the kits on the tables was astounding.
The Armour category, featuring over 100 kits, was highlighted by Graeme Davidson's Warrior ARV (Best of Modern Armour, Runner-Up Best of Show), Pat Johnson's 1/25 Tiger I (Best of Vintage Armour)and Nat Ng's 1/35 Leopold Rail Gun and Flak '88 Famo.
Best of show went to an outstanding shadowbox diorama, by Arthur Sekula, featuring D.A.K. tomb-raiders in the Western Desert, circa 1942.
We'll likely have more pictures to follow, but here's a taste of the show...begining with a group photo of the organizers on the set of B.T., where we filmed a 4.5 minute segement for 'Live at 5', ATV's Friday evening supper show for the Maritime Provinces.
Also included are a shot of Sid Arnold's set up for Armoured Brigade and Allied Command, and a shot of our Mega-Raffle table, which was overseen by my wife Megan, who is, incidently, the culprit behind 'Wife's Revenge'.
