Churchill Mk VII Crocodile

Model by Mark Cooper

"Gerald" is from the C Squadron of the 7th Royal Tank Regiment stationed in Korea 1950. The regiment was transported to the front via rail but when they arrived it was found that there was little use for the flamethrower. As such the fuel trailers were dropped and the tanks fought on as gun tanks.

"Gerald" was built for MMM2000 special category "Vehicles of the UN". The model is actually the re-released Tamiya Churchill but it was converted to a crocodile using spare parts provided by Mark Stares. Thanks Mark.

The kit was detailed using wire and brass strip. The co-axial machine gun was replaced with an open cradle variant.
