This was one of my greatest projects; I spent over two months working almost every day to do this model. I ran all the hoses and extra things for the engine and undercarriage of the Famo that I could find pictures for. I assembled the entire upper structure so that it could be removed and the undercarriage can be viewed, this was done by gluing a cut coat hanger to the undercariage to help support it. The winch cable is moveable as is the track and front tires. The drivers side sponson box lid can be removed to view the stored tools. The front bumper was added, even though the early style Famo didn’t have it, from a picture I have found of a field modification showing an early famo with a tubular bumper. On the StuG the entire top can be removed to see the interior better, which has plenty of added accessories. The canvas muzzle brake cover was made from tissue, as was the tarp over the mantel. I made modifications to the vehicle including the placing of the pe set from pictures I took of a StuG III G from the Fort Knox storage facility. The trailer was one of the most difficult things to build, since it needed a lot of clean up and the instructions where not that good. The decals came from Tamiya and the license plate from Elefant. All of the vehicles where painted using Tamiya dark yellow, red brown, and dark green. It was all weathered with artist oils and overspraeyed using Revell's earth tone color. This vehicle belongs to the 2nd sturmgeschütz abteilung, 2nd SS panzer division, Das Reich operating in Normandy 1944 to stop the Allied advance.
