This is the excellent Tamiya's model (Ref. 35219), a little gem. It results in a very nice replica just build out of the box, but also you can detail it until the delirium. It just depends on how advanced is your AMS (Advanced Modelling Syndrome). I think I rested halfway. I added some obvious bits such as the pedals (a quite silly omission by Tamiya), the hood hooks, the wiring for the screen wipers and for the blackout light... The protection ring for this light was replaced with lead foil. The petrol can cap was replaced with an Italeri one. I detailed somewhat the tool clamps and holders. Also I replaced the model transparent windscreens with thinner ones from transparent sheets for photocopying.
The base coat paint is done with Tamiya acrylics. First a mixture of olive drab and dark green. Later, just olive drab, leaving the outer zones of the surfaces with the darker mixture, and finally olive drab with dark yellow in the centre of the surfaces. The edges were marked with a very dilute dark brown. Then, oil washes (a couple of greens and browns) and finally pastel chalks for the muddy and dusty look. Tyres are just painted in a very dark brown and treated with ochre pastels, cleaning the surface which should be quite clean after some kilometres on good roads. A very good model, highly recommended.
