"Hot Chow" 9th Inf Div, RVN, Nov. 1967

This diorama depicts soldiers of the 9th Infantry Division going through the chowline to receive a hot meal in the field. Since they are within the confines of their perimeter, they are lightly armed. The three standing figures include one scratchbuilt (the guy with the boonie hat folded front and back) and two major conversions. The kneeling soldier is from Hobby Fan, and the seated soldier is a Hobby Fan conversion. Note the 9th Infantry Division Patches, nametapes, spoons sticking out of pockets, boonie hats in various configurations, sweat stains, dirt, and scuffed up boots. The mermite food containers include one with and one without inserts.
