Saumur 2001 Modelling Competition

The Saumur "Musée des Blindés" (Tank Museum) has its annual "modelling day" a Saturday in May.

The modelling display and competition is usually quite good, it was even better in 2001, in part thanks to a strong Italian contigent that made the trip to France.

Due to the limitations of my digital camera I haven't been able to photograph the small scale exhibits which were very good also.

Most photos are of 1/35th scale models. The M4A3E8 is a Sol Models 1/16th resin kit. The Hetzer a 1/16th Cromwell Models resin kit and the Leopard 2A5 is a mostly scratchbuilt 1/16th scale model.
