St. Marie du Mont prior to D-Day

This little diorama depicts some German soldiers cleaning equipment and filling a water tank in the days before the invasion. The well is based on the one in St. Marie du Mont, from photos in different books and my own reference photos from a trip there. It is not an exact match, but close in design. The figures are modified DML and Coree. The water cart is scratchbuilt, with Grandt Line wheels. The base and well are scratchbuilt, then cast in resin. The tree is a root from a Eucalyptus tree. I finished this about a year ago and still have to build a dust cover for it. Sorry about some of the pics being blurred. I'm still getting used to the digital camera.
