Here is my dusty Krupp Protze light truck. It is the Tamiya kit which despite its 25 year age is a really good little model. I made this model before photo-etched parts were invented and many details like tools clasps I scratchbuilt from wire and bits of plastic. I added the gas cans under the bed based on photographs in the Tamiya book on the Protze. The tilt was made with tissue paper soaked in diluted white glue and detailed with masking tape straps. The cargo consists of a bunch of Italeri gas cans, some Tamiya wooden boxes and some homemade cardboard boxes which I coloured with, of all things, coffee! The heavy dust was made with several heavy washes with light earth coloured water based paints and a final coating of ground up pastal chalks. [View discussion] [Discuss my model]
