I built this kit for fun a couple of weeks ago.
I build small scale kits right out of the box, because for me, they're too darned small to worry about too much AMS!!
The kit builds up with no real surprises. The track is only detailed on the outside, but it's so small you can't see much. I painted it overall sand, and added black as described in the instructions. There are no sand shields in the kit, although they are depicted on the painting instructions.
I weathered it with a very faint wash of umber oil, and then lots of chalk. I added antennae made from stretched sprue.
This kit is a nice diversion, especially for a cost of less than $5.
