Cromwell IV, 2 Bn Welsh Guards, Normandy, Summer 1944

This is the Revell 1/72nd scale kit, to which I added a full interior as well as the mesh/hessian camouflage on the turret and gun. The interior was scratchbuilt from styrene strip and rod plus some bits of wire and foil. The camouflage is made from strips of painted facial tissue, threaded through bridial veil material. I replaced the light guards and two of the engine deck handles with brass wire. The only other things I added were the antennae from music wire.

Paint is Modelmaster Dark Green 34079. The decals came from Skytrex and Microscale. Weathering is with pastels.
