USMC's LAV 25 Commandeering a T-72 Gulf War

This is a Diorama of the 2nd Marine Division 2nd Battalion seizing an Iraqi Republican Guard T-72 early days of the ground war. The T-72 is a Tamiya model. All the figures are from Verlinden. Verlinden’s Marine figures had to be slightly modified for accuracy. One) Marines don’t ware sleeve patches so these had to be carefully sanded off. Two) miner detail, Marines roll their sleeves up unlike the Army who uses the sleeve cuff rolled down over the rolled up sleeve, these also had to be sanded. In addition, the figures came with the m-16 A1 and the current service rifle is the M-16 A2. I know these are minor details but attention to detail is what makes this hobby so much fun. This one was lots of fun!!!!
