Zvezda model (Italeri re-box) built right out of the box, just the tracks are replaced from a Tamiya kit.
Finished with Tamiya acrylics, drybrushed with Humbrol and Testors enamels and finally sealed with Testors dullcote. Decals are from Italeri. I tested Microscale Set and Sol with these decals and had no reference about the original at that time. Decals went down beautifully on the turret casting with the liquid wonders and when I saw the result I liked the marking very much. I decided then to let it on and started to look after some pictures of the tank.
This particular tank was knocked out during fighting in East Prussia and burned out. Reference can be found in the T-34 in Action from Suadron/Signal Publications vol. Armor No. 20, page 37. It was in fact an older 1944 model with radio antenna plug left on the hull and the smaller commander’s cupola with the two piece hatch. The turret marking was painted a little bit rearwards.
