I am 13 years old, and this was my very first model tank. I had the most fun building this model than I did with all my other models combined. It was so much fun because since it was my first model, I could use/experiment with different techniques and learn a lot about Shermans. Since this was my introduction to modeling, I did not worry about being perfect or building the greatest model in the world. I started modeling becuase I just wanted to have fun.
This outstanding kit is from Tamiya (like all my other tanks) and is painted overall with the Model Master Olive Drab, a really neat-looking color. I had some problems, all were my fault. I admit it, the crew are not painted well, but it really doesn't matter to me.
I made the Sherman as if it were fighting in Normandy, hence the large amount of cargo on the back, the mud, and the Cullin device (hedgerow cutter) on the front.
Any comments/tips/suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Discuss my model.
