This is Roy Model's Fordson WOT2 truck, finished in markings of the 5th battalion Coldstream Guards, somewhere in western Europe in 1944/45. Roy's kit is not a superb kit, but it's a nice kit and a good base for detail work. I added most of the interior parts except the seats and the box between them. The steering wheel was taken form the scrap box. I also added the entire steering mechanism from scratch, and added the side flaps and the rolled up curtains at the back of the tilt from Sylmasta A&B putty. The windscreen frame was not very well moulded so I replaced that as well. In short, there was more than enough to hone my scratchbuilding skills!
I painted the model in Humbrol enamels, gave it a wash with oils, and added transfers from Archer. The formation sign and the arm of service marking were painted using Stencilit photo-etched masks. The camo was done by hand.
I'd like to thank Keith Goldsworhty from Britain for supplying reference material (and encouraging words!), and my brother Rutger for putting some additional grime on the tilt!
