This is to complement my earlier submission of the Type 1 Chi-He this is the Type 3 Chi-Nu from which the conversion was made.
The Chi-Nu never saw combat but several were made for the homeland defense. The destruction of almost all of them was documented by the US Army.
This is a Fine Molds kit and what a nice kit. Right out of the box it will make a great looking model. The only additions to detail that I added were weld beads just behind the front glacious on the sides, vision silts just behind those weld beads and weld beads added to the rear turret sides. Wires were added to the headlights using very thin solder.
I added the Fine Molds photo-etched accessories to the kit along with Emporium tow cables with cable ends from the Tamiya Chi-Ha kit. MV lenses were added to the headlights and taillight. ModelKasten workable tracks were used. Compare these tracks with the non-workable kind and you will see a lot better detail. [View discussion] [Discuss my model]
