Marsch! Russia 1941/42, the beginning (of the end)

This project took about eight months to build. Vehicles include the Tamiya's Steyr 1500A01 which was almost OOTB except for etched grilles, copper wire poles and some equipment added. The Stug III Ausf. B is from DML which received new fenders, gun and some of the OVM by Tamiya also included is home made railing and supports for antenna with some leftover brass sheet. The T35 is OOTB with some rivets replaced/added and some support struts added from ABS sheet and profiles for the side armor. The most rebuild/detailed is the Panzer II Ausf. C with hull and basic turret being ALAN with the wheels and tracks from Tamiya's Wespe. It's lower hull is again ABS sheet, the fenders are aluminium sheets covered with brass treadplate by AA while the gun is from Jordi Rubio.

All vehicles where first sprayed a very dark gray/brown (almost black) then lighter shades of blueish grey were sprayed on (Green for the T35), all paints were acrylics. Then different washes of burnt sienna/coal were used. Drybrushing was done in a mixture of gullgrey/white/sand. All washes and highlighting in oil colors.

The crew for the StuG and Panzer II are by Dragon as are the four guys walking which are their best ever in my opinion. One guy standing at roadside plus the three at the T35 are by Warriors. The Steyr driver and commander are from Tamiya.

A piece of 30cm x 80cm plywood was built up with styrofoam for the basic terrain shape and then covered with a mixture of white glue water and filler. All of the surface again smeared with glue, cat-litter on the road and static grass on the sides. The base was airbrushed with acrylics.
