Japanese Artillery

Model by Michael Bedard

Once again folks I add yet another bit of WW II Japanese modeling to this site. Just three quick photos of some Japanese artillery that is available to the modeler. All these kits are in white metal. I was able to purchase these kits through HobbyLink Japan. At this point and time I'm not aware of any styrene, injected molded kits of Japanese artillery. Beware that these kits are not cheap either and it will take me a bit of time to be able ave enough to purchase and build what other kits are available. The kits are all straight out of the box, painted with Tamiya, PollyScale and Valejo acrylics. Washes are accomplished with Windsor-Newton watercolors and drybrushing with Windsor-Newton oil paints. Fine Molds make the 81mm mortar and 37mm ATG which by far are some of the best pieces of artillery that I have ever made in any medium. The Type 90 75mm gun is by Pit Road and a bit heavier in the details than the Fine Molds kits. I will later post some refernce photos of the Type 90 for the site. Comments welcome.
