This is one of Dragon's Hetzer kits, (Command version - #6060) I built years ago. I have done some adjusting and scratch building, for example, the side skirt armour plates are made from thin sheet plastic. The mounting brackets are scratch built using plastic as well. All handles are wire replacements. The Notek light has a wire added. The attachment loops around the top of the vehicle were replaced in a variation of Paul Owen's article on the subject and wire was used for the hanging wire strand which was used by the real crew for attaching bread bags, water bottles, helmets and the like, (which I have not placed, yet). The tool box is hand made and has Aber clasps. There is a small chain thrown in as well. Some Aber tool clasps were used. I need to place the command star antenna but will wait till the diorama I have in mind for this one is done. The camouflage is loosely based on an example in the first "Panzer Colors" book by Bruce Culver. I have done extensive aging and weathering. It was my first attempt at doing some scracth improvements, a test bed if you will, still it turned out OK. [View discussion] [Discuss my model]
