Tiger I (Late)

This is an almost OOTB Academy late Tiger I with some after-market parts which I completed in 2000. This Tiger belongs to 505 Heavy Tanks Unit in winter camouflage. I thought that it could be the Tiger no. 300 but it is so popular that I am considering changing it. For the zimmerit coating I used an old Italeri German Tank Accessory zimmerit sheets. I thinned them and cut them to fit on the armour. Academy barrels fitted on the engine compartment as shown on some late 1944 picture from winter Tiger gathering somewhere on the Eastern Front. The ammunition box is also from Academy. Figures are from the old Tamiya Flak gun crew set. Pactra paints where used for the standard dark yellow/brown/green camouflage and then Pactra matte white for the winter white coating of white water paint or thinned lime.
