Panther Ausf. G - 'Poodle'

2.VIII.1944: during the Warsaw Uprising three Panthers, probably from the HG division, attacked a position of the Polish Boy Scouts from Baons (Umbrella) and "Zoœka". One tank was destroyed and the two remaining were attacked with molotovs, granades, gammons and a British Piat until finally they were captured. One of the captured Panthers was named "Pudel" (Poodle) by the Poles. Poodle and the second Panther joined the Polish armoured platoon "Wacek" and took a part in further action during the Warsaw Uprising against the Germans.

This is Tamiya's kit with zimmerit from Atak Model and a few Eduards parts. It was painted by brush with Humbrol. The figures are from Dragon; Polish AK soldiers during the Warsaw Uprising fought in SS uniforms - as a large number of these uniforms were captured as well.
