This is the AFV Club kit built straight out of the box. It was painted with Tamiya NATO colours of green, red and brown. Then over sprayed with Tamiya Buff mixed at a ratio of 95% Windex and 5% paint. Wear marks were done with a silver pencil. Vehicle is representative of a picture Chris Mrosko posted awhile back on http://www.ww2modelmaker.com/ showing the German commitment in Afghanistan.
The base is an old meat packing tray found typically at the local super market. It was scored with a knife to show concrete forms. It was then dry brushed with various Delta Creamcoat paints. The final touch was a yellow line airbrushed on to show a "follow me" line on the runway. The meat packing tray method was shown to me by fellow modeller Paul Keefe and is a really economical way to do it. The barriers' were also sculpted by Paul Keefe and purchased through Farina Enterprises, at AMPS East this past fall.
The figures are from Jaguar and were finished again with paints mostly from the Delta Creamcoat range. The Flectarn pattern was "picked" out using a plastic dental tooth pick.
