Semovente M40 75/18 Sicily

Thie is Tamiya's 1/35th scale Italian Semovente M40-75/18. The vehicle depicts an assault gun used during the battle for Sicily in 1943. The kit was built basically OOTB with minor detailing and added accessories. It was painted with Testor's Model Master Desert Sand and weathered with washes of oil paints, followed by drybushing with lighter shades of the base color. The crewmember figure is from the Warriors Semovente crew and was painted with humbrol paints and oils. The diorama base groundwork was formed with concrete patch filler. The wall and debris are Custom Diorama products and were painted with oils.
