I have sculpted this figure in 200mm for Mirage Hobby. Yes, it is inspired by "Band of Brothers".
My technique is to start with wire skeleton. Then build the body from Magic Sculp. After finishing the body the uniform and equipment is sculpted. This helps to make figure more anathomicaly correct. Magic Sculp is a kind of epoxy A+B stuff manufactured in USA and sold in Europe by JJ Models. This I find is far better than fine Milliput, many sculptors use it. The painting is with Vallejo acrylics. Photos are by Ms. Lidka Wisniewska.
Sources are several albums of photos, Osprey books, etc. Also I get help from reenactment groups. In 506 PIR and US Officer 116 Rgt he has all equipment samples, including originals of weapon and even several items used in Band of Brothers movie. His firend, Marcin Plachta supplied most of them.
