I Think We Are Lost Tarzan

Diorama by Barkin Bayoglu

Kits Used: Zvezda Panzerjaeger I with, Eduard P/E set, Modelkasten workable tracks, Verlinden dry-transfers, modified Tamiya & Dragon figures.

Tamiya Acrylics were the base colors. I used several washes of artist Oils, pastel chalks powder (It's hard to find model railroad products over here in Istanbul). An finally to simulate that bare metal look of Africa vehicles I chose artist graphite pencils (4B-7B and 8B). I also experimented with graphite pencils on the personel equipment such as gas mask canisters, helmets, canteens and also on the jerrycans with great satisfaction. A heavilly painted tissue paper was rolled and fixed with copper wire on top of the engine deck.

Finally, a word about the story, no aerial on the antenna base, probably torn apart during a sandstorm. The commander is warning the half naked guy that they might be lost with slight cynicism. Hence the name: I think we're lost Tarzan.

Comments welcome, happy modelling.
