Warrior MCV, Wadi al Batin, 1991

Model by Paul Cherriman

This is the 1/35th scale Academy Warrior MCV.It was built to represent a section vehicle of A Company, 1st Battalion the Staffordshire Regiment at Wadi al Batin during the first Gulf War, 1991. An Eduard photo-etched kit was used for the engine screens, stowage racks and hatch handles. The driver's, turret and troop carrying compartments are entirely built from scratch, nothing is included in the kit and there is nothing available in the after-market field. This was made using plastic sheet, rod and lead foil. The radiation sheets (orange) and empty sand bags covering the lights are from tissue paper and white glue. The model was
painted with Tamiya acrylics and weathered with chalks to represent a vehicle towards the end of the campaign.

Thanks,
Paul.
