Sturmtiger with KwK 36 8,8cm

This is a hypothetical late war tank destroyer based on the Tiger I chassis. The concept is early April '45, German armor production is devastated from heavy allied bombing and suffering from a severe lack of part availability to complete vehicles. A Tiger I with a damaged turret is awaiting refurbishment. The factory workers hurriedly mate a discarded Sturmtiger super structure with this chassis and mount the Tigers original 88 in place of the rocket launcher with spare components and plate steel. The vehicle is only primered on the super structure, and the Tiger still wears it's original camo scheme on the chassis. She leaves the factory as a last ditch, stop gap effort to stem the unending tide of Soviet armor into the Fatherland.

This is the 1/35 Tamyia Sturmtiger kit with a Jordi Rubio barrel, Friulmodel tracks, K.M.Y deck screens, Verlinden chains, and few parts from my spare parts box, like the jerry can and a commander's hatch from the DML panther II. I would like to express my gratitude to Phil Goodwin who gave me the Jagdtiger mantlet and even mailed it from Australia at his own expense.
