This is the Legend 1982 Cenurion kit combined with Academy's Centurion Mk.3 and Accurate Armour tracks, with various scratch built elements to make it into a Swedish Strv. 104. If I was to start this project again, I would probably use an Accurate Armour lower hull and metal tracks.
There is still much to add to this model, it is not ready for painting quite yet.
Here are some of the changes made to the Legend kit:
Hull:
1. Completely rebuilt/converted headlamp mountings
2. Scratchbuilt front hull reactive armour
3. Rear Hull plate is completely re-built
4. Eduard etch added here and there
5. The side skirts were rebuilt with thin plastic card, because I was unable to punch the semi-circular holes from the provided etched skirts without warping them.
6. Brass tow cable, mounted the Swedish way.
Turret:
1. Commanders MG mount scratchbuilt (note the tiny springs)
2. Scratchbuilt reactive armour.
3. Various items normally found on a Centurion placed according to Swedish practices.
4. Loaders site housing was built up on front slope of turret (the Legend turret has the site on the top of the turret in front of the hatch). The site has not been mounted yet.
More to add (this is not a complete list):
1. Lyran smoke-mortar bracket on rear of turret.
2. The other half of the gun barrel :-)
3. Commaders hatch
5. Must correct those slightly bulging side skirts
6. Turret smoke dischargers and various other items.
7. The Swedish splinter cammo scheme (that will be challenging to say the least, hahaha).
