This is the TACAM R-2 kit from CMK. It's a self-propelled anti-tank gun developed in late 1943 in Romania, using the R-2 (Skoda LT. vz. 35) hull and a Russian anti-tank gun, the 76,2 mm ZIS-3. It had a crew of three. 21 vehicles were produced at the Leonida Factory in Bucharest. The blue ring painted on the superstructure means this vehicle should belong to the 2nd Armoured Regiment, 1st Armoured Division, but this was one of the 16 vehicles forming an armoured detachment attached to the 4th Army, fighting in northern Transylvania in October 1944.
The sergeant (climbing on the vehicle) has been made using parts from DML, Heller and ICM. The lieutenant (standing besides the vehicle) and the senior-sergeant (seated on the vehicle) are from CMK. I used a bit of putty to make their jackets longer and paper to make the pockets. They are painted with Revell. [View discussion] [Discuss my model]
