Crusader Mk.III

Model by Dave Williams

This is the Revell/Italeri Crusader III with Eduard PE and Fruil tracks. It is based on a colour picture in George Forty's "The Desert War" of a very dirty Crusader, said to be of the 16/5th Royal Lancers in Tunisia, April 1943. However, as the crew are wearing RTR berets, this is questionable! The turret track holders are fairly typical of the Crusader III, and are clearly a unit workshop production. It was painted in a variety of acrylics, weathered in oils and Mig pigments. The only markings are the red/white i/d flash, which came from the spares box. Hope you like it, comments good or bad, always welcome.
