Challenger ARRV

This is one of my earliest resin models and also one that sparked my interest in recovery tanks and other utility vehicles. This kit is from Accurate Armour and is basically a good kit. It is not a full kit however, the bottom chassis is from the Tamiya Challenger. I sprayed the model with Gunze Sangyo paint, let to dry for 48 hours, then followed with a misting spray of the base colour mixed with white. Then I sprayed a Gunze Sangyo gloss coat, let that set for another 48 hours, and added the kit decals using the Microscale method. This was left to dry for another 48 hours and finally sprayed it with a Gunze Sangyo flat.

I proceeded to give it a heavily thinned wash of Windsor Newton turpenoid and dark brown with black oil paints. I did not use chalk with this kit. In summary this was a very enjoyable kit to build without any construction problems, but may not be suitable for beginners. I am now researching and thinking of building an interior for this monster!
