M4A3 76(w)

This is the Tamiya M4A3 kit with the Tank Workshop resin T23 76mm turret. It started out as an OOB project; a Christmas gift for my father-in-law. Well, then came the TWS turret. And then the Academy wheels and idlers. And then came the VP periscopes and handles replaced with wire. (At least I resisted adding PE, aftermarket tracks and pioneer tool set.)

Its whitewash scheme was done with MMP pigments applied with alcohol onto a Testors dullcoat over Tamiya acrylic Olive Drab. The mud was a combination of acrylic stucco medium with MMP powders. I used this project to test out this whitewash technique. Although generally satisfied with its look, I'll refine it for future projects.
