1937 Chevy staff car

I have been adding some older kits from my collection to the Track-Link site. It is interesting to look at these old builds in a new light. After so many years it seems interesting to see where a person was at one time as a modeler and how techniques, styles and preferences have changed.

This is an old Pyro kit. I purchased the limited Verlinden pilot crew and painted him back in the late 1980s. I figured he needed something to stand near so at first I thought maybe a P-51D Mustang would be nice. Well I saw this kit in a local hobby store and changed my plan. The only basic change from the original kit was the addition of MV lenses and adding butyrate for the glass. The car was painted with Tamiya acrylics and weathered with pastels. I finished the automobile around 1990.
