3 inch howitzer

This is another model of U.S. artillery pieces that are submitted to Track-Link. It is a combination of Italaerei’s 105 howitzer kit and KMC’s conversion for the 3-inch gun. KMC made two versions this being the one used stateside only during World War II. The only change from either kit was replacing the spring under the gun using styrene and coiled bras wire. This allowed the spring to actually work. The model was finished using Tamiya paints and Winsor/Newton watercolors. I finished the gun around 1997. KMC no longer exists but their 76mm ATG that is very similar to this is available from TRAKZ.
