During the 50īs and 60īs the Chilean Army received lots of US equipment in form of Military Assistance. One of them was the M34 series of trucks, like the one depicted in the pictures.
The kit itīs from Revell of Germany in 1/35. Was built OOB, no aftermarket or scratch. Painted and weathered with Humbrol enalmels wtih a single action airbrush. Chilean decals came from a local manufacturer, no tactical or identification marks were carried in lots of vehicles in the mid and late 70īs in the chilean north (from that era this kit is shown), having only a chilean coat of arms in the doors of the cabin.
The vehicle is towing a 0.5 ton cargo trailer, that itīs the Italeri kit. These trucks were in service until the mid 90īs in some cases, one of them is displayed in the Chilean Military History Museum in Santiago, along with a number of american supplied items (M3 Scout Carrier & M3 Stuart Light Tank, among others) [View discussion] [Discuss my model]
