One of the versions of the Vietnam era gun truck "Eve of Destruction" that I build. This particular model uses a converted Italeri M925 standard 5-ton cargo truck, chopped to match the dimensions and wheelbase of the M54 5-ton trucks used for these conversions during the Vietnam War. As using Italeri's BMY-type Cab is totally wrong for modeling a M54, I use my own resin parts. Shown here is a combination of resin parts and modified AFV Club M35 Deuce parts. The Italeri Cargo Box requires detail modification, as shown, and the Fighting Compartment and angled Door Armor and fittings are done with simple sheet styrene. The uni-directional military and civilian-style front tires are knock-offs of Real Models and PSP items, with minor detail changes/additions. The Fighting Compartment Logo and other markings are homemade, waterslide, decals based on my own artwork. This truck (finished in December 2005) is the last one I'm doing with decals. All the future ones will have own dry-transfer designs. The Figures are slightly modified examples from Dragon Models Limited. [View discussion] [Discuss my model]
